KHYBER AGENCY: Militants opened fire on a security official, injuring him in an attack early morning on Friday.
According to the police, terrorists infiltrated the Warsak Dam Colony early Friday morning and opened fire on a security official, injuring him. The injured security official was provided medical treatment. Security officials surrounded the area and started an operation against the militants.
Security forces and terrorists exchanged fire, as LEAs hoped to clear the area from militants. Khyber Agency has remained one of the most restive areas of Pakistan, where militants frequently carry out terrorist attacks on security forces and law enforcement agencies.
Security sources revealed that the terrorists were making use of hand grenades to attack security forces.
