MINGORA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan Thursday said he wanted to put an end to the rampant and massive corruption in the country and had ** desire to become prime minister.
Addressing the participants at the inauguration ceremony of the chair-lift project at Malam Jabba in Swat district, the PTI chief said that putting an end to the corruption in the country was his first and foremost priority.
He declared that across-the-board accountability should be carried out in the country. However, he asserted the practice should start from top to bottom. Referring to the Panama Leaks issue, he said a country could **t progress whose prime minister was involved in corruption.
He appreciated the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for efforts for stamping out corruption, adding, “Corruption has reduced to a great deal in the province.”The PTI chief said that Pakistan’s biggest problem was poverty which ** government had ever bothered to tackle.
He said that billions of rupees could be earned as well as a multitude of employment opportunities could be generated through boosting tourism in the country. He vowed his party’s government in the province would exploit the tourism potential, which could ultimately play a significant role in the development of the country.
Appreciating the beauty of scenic Swat valley, Imran Khan said, “Malam Jabba is the Switzerland of South Asia.”The PTI chief and Chief Minister Pervez Khattak also enjoyed a ride together in the newly established chair-lift at Malam Jabba.
