**rthwest Florida is in the path of a powerful storm that will make landfall on Thursday evening and into Friday morning local time.*
Hurricane Hermine will be the first storm to hit the nation's most hurricane-prone state in nearly 11 years. At 3 p.m. ET, the Category 1 hurricane sustained maximum winds of 75 miles per hour and is expected to intensify before it makes landfall.*
