ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party leader Aitzaz Ahsan said on Wednesday that it was **t possible to conduct an investigation into someone's property without a forensic audit.
Flanked by Farhatullah Babar Khan and Qamar Zaman Kaira, Aitzaz spoke to media personnel and said that the commission which would investigate the Panama Leaks issue would be completely independent. He said that there was ** need for the government to oppose the bill.
"Pakistan's investment was shifted abroad secretly," he said. "I request the government to review this matter," he added.
He said that a commission should conduct the Panama Leaks investigation which should be headed by judges of the Supreme Court. Aitzaz said that an investigation should be conducted against all 630 persons who have been named in the Panama Leaks investigation and stated that ** one had been subjected to unfair treatment in the bill.
"According to the regulations of the bill, an investigation will be carried out against everyone," he said. "Those who have been named will be bound to disclose, in front of **minated judges, the access to the account's proxy," he said.
Aitzaz stated that he had suggested a forensic audit to uncover the investment that was sent abroad.
