Man dies in accident

TOBA TEK SINGH: A man died and three others injured in a collision between a car and a motorcycle on Gojra-Toba Road on Saturday.
Motorcyclist Afzal of Jaranwala was on his way to Toba from Gojra and near **orpur a car hit him and killed him on the spot while Muhammad Alam, Sher Muhammad and Muhammad Qasim sustained critical injuries when the car overturned. They were rushed to DHQ Hospital.
WOMEN GIVEN SEWING MACHINES: Under the Prime Minister’s Youth Skills Development Programme (phase 2) women were given 29 sewing machines and tool kits after completion of their course at district industrial home. On the occasion, DCO Amer Ijaz Akbar urged the women to come forward to get technical education to earn respectful livelihood for their families like their male family members. District Social Welfare ******r Mian Muhammad Zahid, District Industrial Home Manager Saqib Raza and Agriculture (EDO) Shahzad Sabir were also present.
APPOINTMENT: According to a press release issued on Saturday, Chaudhry Muhammad Ashfaq, PTI (Western Punjab) president and ex-district nazim, appointed Ghulam Sarwar of Kamalia as PTI joint secretary of Western Punjab.
