KARACHI: Pakistan’s Tayyab Aslam crashed out of the $150,000 Hong Kong Squash Open at Hong Kong, China, on
Sunday. In the first qualifying round, Mazen Gamal of Egypt thrashed Tayyab Aslam 11-4, 11-8, 11-8 in just 41 minutes. Pakistan’s Jansher Khan won this event eight times, which is the highest for any squash player. He won it in 1997, 1995, 1994, 1991, 1990, 1989, 1988, and 1987. He was also one of the finalists
in 1996.
