ISLAMABAD: The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) will file a petition in the Supreme Court (SC) on Monday (today) seeking court orders for an investigation into the PanamaLeaks and waiver of loans.
According to sources, JI Ameer Sirajul Haq will himself go to the court for filing the petition. The JI made a decision in this regard and wants complete and comprehensive investigation into the PanamaLeaks.
The sources further added that JI has made all the necessary preparations for filing the petition in the apex court. It is worth mentioning here that Sirajul Haq few days earlier had stated that his party would file a petition in the Supreme Court on August 22 seeking court orders for an investigation into the PanamaLeaks and waiver of loans. Haq said the JI wanted across the board accountability of all politicians having offshore companies and those who got their loans written off.
