MULTAN: The polygraph test report of taxi driver Abdul Basit, an accused in the Qandeel Baloch murder case, showed he knew that she had been murdered. Abdul Basit helped Wasim and Haq Nawaz to flee the scene after the murder as he transported them to Dera Ghazi Khan and then he absconded. The result has created a contradiction in the police investigation report, according to which Abdul Basit, a relative of Mufti Abul Qavi, was ig**rant of Qandeel’s murder. On the other hand, a local magistrate, Malik Farooq, on Saturday extended the physical remand of Zafar Iqbal and Abdul Basit for a**ther two days. According to the prosecution, the homicide unit presented the two accused before the court and requested for an extension in physical remand for further investigation. Wasim and Haq Nawaz are already in jail on judicial remand in the same case.
