PAKPATTAN: Locals were deprived of cash and other valuables on Friday.
Robbers intercepted Abdul Salam of Chak 155/EB near Chak 3-L and deprived him of his motorcycle, cash and a cell phone.
Nine thieves entered the house of Nadeem Iqbal of Malka Hans and stole gold ornaments, cash, and cell phones. Police have registered cases.
ROOF COLLAPSE KILLS MAN: A man died when the roof of his house collapsed on him on Friday. Reportedly, the roof of the house of Ijaz, 22, of Mahib Ali Adhar, collapsed owing to a short circuit-triggered fire and killed him on the spot.
2 POS ESCAPE: Two proclaimed offenders (POs) escaped with the connivance of their accomplices on Friday.
Police raided Basti Ghulam Qadar to arrest PO Javeed, who was alerted about the police by his accomplice Muneer and escaped. Police reached Chak Balara Qasaria to arrest PO Mazhar but he escaped as he was told about the arrival of the police by his accomplice Ali Zubair. Police have registered cases.
LIQUOR SEIZED: Police Friday arrested two accused and recovered narcotics from their possession.
Police arrested accused Faisal Rasool with 10 litre liquor and accused Muhammad Ali of Chak 65/EB with 300 gram charas. Police have registered cases.
