KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies arrested three suspects who are affiliated with a political party, on Thursday night.
Law enforcement agencies' personnel raided the city's Jamshed Quarters and Teen Hatti. Three suspects, who were affiliated to a political party, were also nabbed by the law enforcement personnel during the course of the raid.
Earlier, law enforcement personnel had also raided Karachi's Korangi area and arrested five suspects from the area. Thirty-one suspicious persons had also been placed into custody.
MQM, Karachi's most popular political party, had protested against what they termed as illegal arrests of their workers and ******-bearers the previous day by going on a hunger strike outside Karachi Press Club. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took **tice of MQM's hunger strike and intervened yesterday by directing IG Sindh to release six workers of the party who had been arrested from the city's Gulistan-e-Jauhar area.
