Valuables stolen

PAKPATTAN: Locals were deprived of cash and valuables on Thursday.
Six thieves stole gold ornaments and two motorcycles from the house of Muhammad Tahir of Chak Dhappi. When the thieves were chased they abandoned one motorcycle in a field and fled. Muhammad Siddique of Muhammadi Town, Arifwala parked his motorcycle outside his house and when he came back he found it missing. Police have registered a case.
HELD FOR DECANTING: The District Civil Defence ******r Thursday on a tip-off arrested a shopkeeper on charges of decanting. Shopkeeper Ahmad Zahid of Chowk Bakhtiar Kaki, Pakpattan was found refilling LPG gas cylinder illegally. Police booked him under Section 285 and 286 of the PPC.
PO ESCAPES: A proclaimed offender (PO) escaped with the connivance of his accomplice. On a tip-off, police raided Chak 23/KB to arrest PO Muhammad Abbas but he was alerted about the police by his accomplice Liaqat Ali and escaped. Police have registered a case.
BOOTLEGGERS HELD: Police arrested bootleggers and recovered liquor and ******* from their possession. Police arrested accused Shafique of Chak 10/EB with 10 litre liquor, accused Liaqat Ali of Bus Stand locality with seven litre liquor, accused Tanvir Hussain of Fareedpur Dogran with 115 gram charas, accused Zafar Iqbal of Chak 37/SP with a pistol, and accused Akhtar Hussain of Jewan Shah with a pistol. Police have registered cases.
