BARA: Eleven more militants were killed and four others sustained injuries when the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) aircraft conducted air strikes on their hideouts in the Tirah Valley near the Pak-Afghan border in Khyber Agency, official sources said on Thursday.
They said the air strikes were part of the “Khyber-3” operation launched a few days ago by security forces.The security forces had launched ground assault and airstrikes on the hideouts of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Lashkar-e-Islam-affiliated militants in Babar Kachkol, Naray Nao and Tor Sapar and other areas in the remote Tirah valley, they added.
At least 11 militants were killed and four others sustained injuries. Eight militants' hideouts were also destroyed in the action, the sources added. The security forces have started the "Khyber-3" operation to clear Khyber Agency, particularly Tirah valley, from the militants and halting their activities, the sources said. They added that the operation would continue till elimination of the last militant in Tirah valley.
