ISTANBUL/DOHA: A Qatar Airways aircraft made an emergency landing at Istanbul´s Ataturk airport on Thursday after its landing gear failed to retract on take-off, an airport official said.
The official could **t confirm a report by broadcaster CNN Turk that one of the plane´s engines caught fire.
The aircraft, an Airbus 330 bound for Doha, landed safely and passengers disembarked as **rmal, Qatar Airways said.
