KARACHI: Sindh Rangers have arrested two target killers, affiliated to militant wing of a political party, the spokesman for the paramilitary force said Wednesday.
According to Rangers spokesman, the hitmen identified as Kashif Qadir alias Kashif Tinda and Junaid Iqbal alia Bota were arrested from Karachi’s Bahadurabad area.
The accused have confessed to target killing of lawyers, murder and extortion.
They targeted Advocate Sohail Anjum along with his companions on March 17, 2010 at Tipu Sultan Road, Advocate Waheed Qureshi on October 01, 2011 at Tariq Road and also confessed to taking part in May 12, 2007 blood shed in Karachi, said the spokesman.
The Rangers spokesman added that besides killing six activists of Sunni Tehreek, the accused were also involved in forced extortion at Tariq Road and Bahadurabad.
The Rangers seized ******* and bullets from their possession.
The accused have been handed over to police for further action.
