MANSEHRA: The Mansehra Police claimed to have arrested three men who allegedly raped a nine grade student after kidnapping her two days back.
“We have arrested three accused who kidnapped a girl when she was returning home after attending a school function. They raped her repeatedly all the night, which has been confirmed by the medical report,” Shimraz Khan, deputy superintendent of police, told reporters at a press conference here on Tuesday. The arrested accused persons were produced before the media.
Flanked by Station House ******r City, Mohammad Saeed, Shimraz Khan, said the girl was on way back her home on August 14 along with a class-fellow in a taxi which suddenly developed a fault. Both the students disembarked from it and started moving separately. He said, according to the victim, in the meantime a vehicle stopped near her and offered her lift which she took.
“The driver of the vehicle instead of taking her home forcibly took her to an ****** in the Thakra area. Three men raped her there. They threw her near the bus terminal early in the morning,” said the police official.
He said the victim was taken to the City Police Station. A first information report was lodged. “The entire proceedings were kept secret to reach the accused,” he added. The cop said the police arrested all the three accused with the help of the victim girl, adding they would be produced in a court today (Wednesday).
