Boy attempts suicide

PAKPATTAN: A boy tried to kill himself with a rifle on Tuesday. Reportedly, Shah Ali wanted to visit head Sulemaniki but his father did **t allow him. Over this, he closed himself in a room and fired at himself with a rifle. As a result, he sustained critical bullet injuries and was rushed to hospital.
Police registered a case.
BODY FOUND: Rescue-1122 staff recovered a body of a 20-year-old unidentified woman from a canal on Tuesday. The body was recovered from Jhal of Bridge of Khadar Canal near Chak 1/KB. The body was sent to the DHQ Hospital, Pakpattan.
REVELLER HELD: Police Tuesday arrested a reveler. Accused Umar Fareed of Chak Paddu Basharat was making **ise after drinking liquor. Police registered a case. Meanwhile, police registered a case against accused Iqbal on charges of violating Amplifier Act.
FAKE CHEQUE CASES: Police booked two people on charges of issuing fake cheques. Accused Abdul Latif purchased maize crop from Haji Muhammad Saleem Raza for Rs 250,000. He gave him a cheque that bounced. Accused Muhammad Ahsan Ali purchased cloth worth Rs 525,000 from Ghulam Kazim of Arifwala and gave him a cheque that was disho**ured. Police have registered cases.
THREE GAMBLERS HELD: Police Tuesday arrested three gamblers. Police arrested accused Abdul Farooq, Muhammad Adil and Maqbool Ahmad of Samadhanwala as they were ******** on a cricket match. Two other accused Yasir Khan and Javed escaped the police. Police registered cases.
QUALITY CONTROL: A meeting of the District Quality Control board will held on August 18 at 10am at DCO ******. The DCO will preside over the meeting.
