‘There is ** need for India or for any other country to give dictation’
KARACHI: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sardar Sanaullah Khan Zehri has said that entire military and civilian leadership of the country are present and united on the issue of war against terrorism as Pakistan further continues this fight.
“We are fighting against terrorism as we will continue to fight till the end of this war,” said the Balochistan chief minister while talking to newsmen on Monday as he visited the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) to inquire after the health of the injured persons of the Quetta bomb blast of August 8 being treated there.
He said that the brave people of Balochistan fully sided with the law-enforcement agencies in the present war against terrorism. The chief minister said that though there had been prior information regarding possible terrorist activity in Quetta but this time the terrorists had been able to achieve their evil designs. However, in the past several instances, such vicious plans of terrorists had been effectively foiled.
“But we will pursue these terrorists to bring them to justice as the fight against terrorists will continue till our last breath,” he said. “Our public and our forces will fight against terrorists till the final stage,” said the Balochistan chief minister.
He said that in the past the security forces in Balochistan had foiled attacks on Chinese and Iranian delegations and repulsed terrorists as they had been planning to attack the Gwadar Port. “After failing on several spots, the terrorists were able to secure their vicious design at one place,” he said.
“There is ** need for India or for any other country to give dictation. We are responsible for Balochistan as we will restore peace there with the support of the people while there would be ** room for any foreign element to become influential there,” he said.
He said that foreign powers were involved in the terrorist incident at the Civil Hospital, Quetta, but this terrorist activity would **t dampen the high spirits of the people and the government in Balochistan. He said that the terrorists had on their mind to cause a bloodbath in the entire Balochistan, but their evil designs would be foiled.
The chief minister said that when he had reached the site of the Quetta bomb blast, the injured people lying there and writhing in pain had stated that they had laid down their lives for the country.
He said the health status of the injured people of Quetta bomb blast being treated here had improved. Later, the Balochistan chief minister went to the residence of Federal Minister Abdul Qadir Baloch and inquired after his health.
