Hey Buddies,
I miss those school days when we used to dress up in green and white, listen to patriotic songs and have get-togethers on 14 August. Let’s be ‘extra-patriotic’ this year and celebrate this Independence Day with more enthusiasm.

Hey Us Team,
This is the first time I am writing to you. You have been doing a great job and a very happy Independence Day to you guys.

Dear all,
A**ther year has passed. Our country will be celebrating its 69th birthday in two days’ time though it seems that there are few who see it as the blessing it is. While we long to be part of the ‘developed world’, we fail to realise that blaming others for failing this nation would **t help us. Each of us has a role to play, and it is only if we do our job we will be able to achieve our dreams. The pessimism around us can only be overcome by positive actions; instead of talking about problems, we should be discussing solutions. You wouldn’t sit back and see your home being polluted or robbed or in a dilapidated condition, right? You would do something about it. Well, Pakistan is our home; young or old, cultured or **t, we get to be the decision-makers. Two words: choose well.
We hope this week’s issue motivates you to bring about this change. Our cover story by Ariba Rafi is a brilliant take on the values that need to be inculcated in today’s youth. Pakistan has had e**ugh of our sympathies; it needs to be empathised with.
Us wishes its readers a Happy Independence Day!
Till next time,
Allah Hafiz!
