Born on the 12th of August 1975 in Massachusetts, U.S.
Is the younger brother of Ben Affleck; they were childhood friends with Matt Damon.
Parents divorced when he was eight; was raised by his mother.
Made his screen debut in the television drama Lemon Sky (1988) and got his first movie role in To Die For (1995).
Has since appeared in ****** including The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007), Gone Baby Gone (2007), I’m Still Here (2010) which also marked his directorial debut and starred his brother-in-law Joaquin Phoenix, Tower Heist (2011), Interstellar (2014) and the Ocean’s Trilogy (2001 - 2007).
