A man died of what police described as an accidental gunshot in Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Tuesday.
The victim was identified as 22-year-old Shahnawaz, a worker at an e of Gulshan-e-Iqbal. Police said the victim was critically wounded when the pistol of a private security guard, Muhammad Ameen, accidentally went off.
Shahnawaz, it was said, was being taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital but passed away en route. Police had taken the security guard, Ameen, in custody and further legal proceedings were underway.
