A special event titled “Let a Hundred Flowers Bloom” will be held at Faiz Ghar on August 11, 2016, to commemorate Mi**rity Day.
Re**wned writer Mustansar Hussain Tarar will review “Leading Lights” by Bushra Sultana. The book is a collection of profiles of people from marginalised communities of Pakistan who contributed exceptionally to their country. The findings of the book will also be presented in the form of a short video prepared especially for the event. A**ther book “Beyond the Other” by Haroon Khalid will be reviewed by Shoaib Mir. The review will also be followed by a short video. The copies of the two books and their Urdu versions will be available at the venue. On August 11, 2016, is also the 78th birthday of one of our greatest **velists, Bapsi Sidhwa, who is also a patron of Faiz Foundation. Moneeza Hashmi will read out an excerpt from her book, followed by a short video about Bapsi Sidhwa. —Correspondent
