Islamabad: The death of any child — even a death expected after long illnesses — is shocking particularly for their parents and entire family. Children aren’t supposed to die. However, the story of Haji Tariq Shah’s four children, Shumaila Shah, Mashal Shah alias Kashi, Haseena Shah and Ayesha Shah is traumatic and painful. They all were killed four years ago in a tragic road accident near Peshawar. The family will be commemorating their fourth death anniversary on August 6, 2016, says a press release.

The life of kids of such tender age would seem to be too short to many, but those who were touched by them understood that the quality of existence far exceeded the quantity of time in which they lived. According to Haji Tariq Shah, their gentle smiles could melt the hearts of those around them.

Haji Tariq Shah said that all his kids possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges both at school and their daily lives. “They were my strength, but their loss has given courage to me and my spouse to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories of our beloved kids,” he added.

“Although our lives have changed since that tragedy, but we still cherish the moments we had spent with our adorable kids, and till to date we even have **t stopped celebrating the cherished moments we spend with Shumaila Shah, Mashal Shah alias Kashi, Haseena Shah and Ayesha Shah,” he added.

We will miss them every day, especially their winning smiles and mischief, they will forever remain in our hearts. On their death anniversary on August 6, we will organise ‘Quran Khwani’ besides lighting candles and distribute free food.
