ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, on Friday, to discuss different issues of national interest.
According to the sources, Murad Ali Shah would hold a meeting with Prime Minister at Islamabad around 11:00 a.m, after arriving in Islamabad. He would be discussing various matters related to the working relationship with federal government, distribution of resources, the prevalent law and order situation in Sindh and the issue pertaining to extending policing powers of Rangers in Karachi.
The Chief Minister will also hold a press conference after his meeting with the Prime Minister concludes and will brief media personnel regarding it, after Friday prayers.
This will be the first meeting between Murad Ali Shah and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, since the incumbent CM took oath last week. The federal government and Sindh government have been at odds over the issue of extending the stay of Rangers in Karachi with special powers.
On Monday, Murad Ali Shah had written a letter to the Interior Ministry in which he approved Rangers' stay in Sindh with policing powers.
