Youth remanded in police custody

MUZAFFARGARH: A court on Wednesday granted four-day physical remand of ninth class student Nasir Ali in police custody for allegedly injuring his cousin on suspicion at Chak 347/TDA, Chaubara, Layyah, on Tuesday.
The police had arrested Nasir Ali (14) for allegedly cutting **se and lips of his divorced cousin Mubashra Bibi (25) when she was sleeping at home. Layyah DPO Muhammad Ali Zia said that the police had registered a case on the report of Amir Khan, father of the girl. The victim was hospitalised in critical condition, he told. The DPO claimed that the arrested accused had confessed to his crime by claiming that his cousin Mubashra was a bad character girl who had illicit relations with several persons.
