War veteran shares powerful response to Donald Trump's desire for a combat medal

Mired in the controversy around his comments directed at the grieving parents of a soldier killed in Iraq, a Purple Heart recipient, the Republican **minee for U.S. president received an unexpected gift from a veteran: his own Purple Heart.
The medal, awarded to military members wounded or killed during service, was given to Donald Trump, he said, by a veteran at Trump's rally in Virginia.*
