The world of Pokémon Go got political in Asia this week.

On the day the worldwide hit game finally came to Japan (http://mashable.com/2016/07/22/pokemon-go-japan/) (which is incidentally the home of Pokémon), players in China started using GPS spoofers to take over Japanese gyms, according to a post on Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/comments/4u202y/a_lots_of_chinese_players_using_fake_gps_went_to/).

The move has been described on the site as a "patriotic movement" on the side of China between two countries that have often (http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-pacific-11341139) been at odds with each other.
