'Veep' actor has Emmy **mination rescinded

LOS ANGELES — Veep's Peter MacNicol is ** longer a 2016 Emmy **minee.
The 62-year-oldactor, who was **minated for outstanding guest actor in a comedy ****** for his role as Jonah's politically influential uncle, was disqualified on Thursday, according to reports.
The reason for the rescinded **mination? MacNicol appeared in five out of 10 episodes in the HBO show's fifth season.*
However, according to TV Academy rules, an actor must appear in "less than 50 percent" of a season's episodes in order to qualify for a **mination in the guest actor category.
