British PM’s help sought in ending Indian state terrorism in held Kashmir
SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir the pro-freedom leaders and organizations have strongly de**unced the killing of in**cent people by the Indian forces and said that it had exposed the real face of the so-called largest democracy to the world.
According to the Kashmir Media Service, the High Court Bar Association of the territory in a meeting in Srinagar expressed serious concern over the continued violence unleashed by the forces to suppress the popular voice of the people seeking right to self-determination.
It condemned the excessive use of force against the peaceful protesters. It also de**unced the curbs imposed on use of internet and cell phone facilities. The Muslim Unity Council (MUC) members addressing a press conference expressed grave concern over the civilian killings in the territory and assured full support to the people of the Valley.
A blanket ban on the print and electronic media in the Valley is most unfortunate, they said and added that the democratic rights of the people should **t be curbed. The Chairman of Lawyers Club, Babar Jan Qadri, presiding over a meeting in Srinagar, called for coordinated efforts to address the pain and misery arising out of the Indian state terrorism in the territory.
The chief patron of JKLF (R), Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said that by imposing curbs on print and electronic media and continued curfew the puppet administration was hiding the facts about the killings and providing shield to the killer forces.
Meanwhile, the President of Kashmir Concern UK, Iftikhar Chaudhry, has drawn the attention of the new British Prime Minister, Theresa May, towards the critical situation in occupied Kashmir and sought her help in ending Indian state terrorism in the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Iftikhar Chaudhry in a letter to the UK prime minister also felicitated her on behalf of the Kashmiri diaspora living in the United Kingdom on assuming the ****** of the prime minister.
In the letter her attention was drawn towards the deteriorating human rights situation in occupied Kashmir. It said that the grave human rights situation had arisen due to excessive use of force by the Indian military, paramilitary and police personnel.
In the letter, the British premier was told that according to official sources over 45 people had been killed and more than three thousand people were critically wounded in the ongoing mass protests in the territory so far.
It has also been said that more than one hundred people will permanently lose their eyesight due to pellet gunshots, the letter added. The letter stated that the Kashmiri diaspora hoped that as a friend of India, the British prime minister would use her good ******s to help stop the senseless killings in occupied Kashmir.
