LAHORE: A Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) delegation led by Secretary General of the party Khurram Nawaz Gandapur will attend the joint opposition meeting on Terms of Reference to be held in Islamabad on Tuesday (today).
Briefing newsmen on Monday, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has lost all moral ground to continue to rule the country after the Model Town incident and the revelations made in the Panama Leaks. He said the prime minister had failed to fulfill his obligations towards the people of the country.
Gandapur said the government has failed at all fronts, be it the appointment of Election Commission members, justice in the Model Town tragedy, national census or the third phase of local government elections. He said the whole nation has its eyes on the opposition.
Gandapur said that this consultative meeting on ToRs is of utmost importance as it will determine the future course of action of the opposition. He said PAT will give concrete suggestions for the removal of the present rulers.
PAT spokesman **orullah Sadique told newsmen that on the 31st of this month an important meeting will be held under the leadership of PAT Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri in Lahore. He said all the opposition parties have been invited to attend this consultative meeting being organised by PAT. He said the agenda will determine the future line of action of PAT and the opposition in the country.
