LAHORE: Pakistan political leadership should deliver like Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey to strengthen democracy in Pakistan if it expects the same reaction to possible military coup in future.

Speaking at 54th conference of Pakistan Visionary Forum held at TECH Society Club on Sunday, speakers while commenting on lingering Kashmir unrest, said that youths of occupied Kashmir would soon succeed in their efforts to liberate their homeland without any external support. It is the duty of every Pakistani to continue the mission of late Abdus Sattar Edhi, they said while paying tribute to late **ble personality.

Speakers included former Federal Law Minister Senator SM Zafar, former Minister of State Qayyum Nizami, Agriculture Scientist Dr Muhammad Sadiq, Dr Hasibullah, former Auditor General Punjab Jameel Bhatti, former DG Intelligence Bureau Maj (r) Shabbir Ahmed, Jameel Gishkori, Dr Mugheesuddin Sheikh, Engr Abdul Majeed Khan, Mahmudur Rehman Chughtai, Muhammad Azeem, Yaqoob Chaudhry, Dr Ikram Koshal, Salman Abid and Maj (r) Khalid Nasr.

Speakers offered Fateha for the departed soul of late Abdus Sattar Edhi and passed a resolution to continue supporting his mission by depositing one rupee per person per day in the account of Edhi Foundation besides setting up Edhi Health Centre in TECH Society. Speakers demanded **bel Prize for Edhi and declaration of his death anniversary as a national day.

Discussing the failure of military coup in Turkey, they said that success of democratic government led by Tayyip Erdogan was possible due to ensuring good governance and delivering as per the expectations of Turkish people particularly in the field of socio-eco**mic development. Besides, it was a coup by a group of military men and the role of patriotic military ******rs also played a pivotal role to fail the coup. If Pakistan political leadership expects the same reaction to possible military coup in future it will have to deliver like Tayyip Erdogan, they added.

Speaking on the recent wave of liberation movement in occupied Kashmir, they said it was led by the youth of the third generation without any external involvement and support which would prove to be successful soon and the Kashmir issue would be sorted out as per the right of self-determination of Kashmiris according to UN resolutions. They demanded Pakistan diplomatic missions abroad to play their effective role in connection with Kashmir issue and it should be a permanent feature of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
