Locals robbed of valuables

PAKPATTAN: Locals were deprived of cash and valuables on Thursday.
Rehmat of Chak 37/SP was intercepted by Akram and his accomplices near Saleem Kot Jhal and was deprived of his motorcycle and cash.
Three thieves stole ten sacks of potatoes and machinery worth Rs 60,000 from the tube-well of Amanat Ali of Chak 60/D.
Thieves stole 170 feet wire worth Rs 50,000 of Fareed Muhammad Khan of Burewala Chowk, Arifwala. Thieves stole cash and cell phone from the house of Hussain Tayyab of D-Block, Arifwala. Two thieves stole cash, a pistol and other valuables worth Rs 60,000 from the house of Shaukat Ali of N-Block, Arifwala. Thieves stole motorcycle (SLM-2503) from the house of Fakhar Ahmad of B-Block, Arifwala.
Police have registered cases.
3 POS ESCAPE: Three proclaimed offenders (POs) escaped with the connivance of their accomplices on Thursday.
Police on a tip-off raided Barkat Chowk, Qaboola, to arrest PO Rafique but he was alerted by Iftikhar Ahmad and escaped.
Police reached Luqman Meeroka to arrest PO Musa but he escaped with the help of his accomplice Maqbool Ahmad.
Police raided Chak 74/EB to detain PO Amir and others but they were alerted about police arrival by Afzal and escaped. Police have registered cases.
LINEMAN KILLED: A Mepco lineman was killed when he fell down from a power pylon at Kot Khuda Bakhsh on Thursday.
Reportedly, Hussain of Al-Fareed division was repairing wires on a pylon when he lost his balance and fell down and suffered critical injuries. He died on the way to the DHQ Hospital, Pakpattan. His body was dis*****ed to his village **or Shah.
GIRL KIDNAPPED: A girl was kidnapped on Thursday.
Reportedly, 13-year-old daughter of Akram of Chak 71/EB was alone at her house when accused Yaseen and his accomplices came and abducted her. Police have registered case.
