An**unces to observe ‘Condemnation Day’
against Indian brutalities in IHK
ISLAMABAD: While an**uncing unflinching support for the cause of Kashmir, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute should be resolved through realisation of the right to self determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir as per the UNSC resolutions, through a fair and impartial plebiscite under the UN auspices.
He was talking to Chairman Special Committee of Parliament on Kashmir and JUI-F President Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who called on the prime minister at his Raiwind residence in Lahore.Maulana Fazl inquired about the health of the prime minister after surgery and extended his best wishes for his early recovery.
Matters of national significance were discussed during the meeting. Maulana Fazl apprised the prime minister of his recent talks with the Kashmiri leadership over the human rights violations by the Indian military and paramilitary forces in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting reiterated the condemnation of the killing of Kashmiri leader Burhan Wani and many other civilians by the Indian military and paramilitary forces.
Maulana Fazl conveyed the sentiments of the Kashmiri leadership and people for Pakistan and said that the Kashmiri leadership looks towards Pakistan in difficult times.
The prime minister said the government and people of Pakistan respect the sentiments of their Kashmiri brethren and will continue to support the Kashmir cause at each and every forum internationally come what may. He said the voice and struggle of the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir can**t be suppressed through use of brutal force and human rights abuses.The meeting was attended by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Federal Minister for Interior Ch Nisar Ali Khan and Federal Minister Akram Khan Durrani.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who is also PML-N president, an**unced to observe “Day of Condemnation” tomorrow (Friday) for expression of solidarity with the martyrs of occupied Kashmir and condemning the Indian brutalities and coercion of the in**cent people of occupied people.
He has impressed upon the PML-N Azad Kashmir chapter to make the day as an effective demonstration of the sentiments of the people.Accordingly, PML-N Azad Kashmir chapter has decided to suspend its election campaign for Legislative Assembly for the day so that all parties of Azad Kashmir could take part in the activities tomorrow.
PML-N President Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider has asked the party ******-bearers and candidates to hold a demonstration outside all big mosques after Juma prayers to highlight the Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir. He urged all political parties of Azad Kashmir to make the day a great success for the cause of Kashmiri people.
