Three of a family among four abducted in Pakpattan

PAKPATTAN: Four people, including three members of a family, were abducted in two incidents here on Sunday.
In the first incident, Anwar Bibi came to the house of Sardaran Bibi at Chak Sandhay Khan and took her married daughter with her for some work. On the way, Zulfiqar and four others allegedly abducted her. In the second incident, Hussain and an unidentified man entered the house of Majeed Ahmad at Chak 15/KB and allegedly abducted his wife, seven-year-old daughter Anam and three-year-old son Akram. Police have registered separate cases.
CASH, VALUABLES TAKEN AWAY: Cash and valuables were taken away in three incidents here on Sunday.
In the first incident, six dacoits broke into the house of Ghulam Murtaza Wattoo at Green Town, locked the family in a room and made off with cash, gold ornaments and a gun. In the second incident, thieves stole the motorcycle of Sardar Ahmad of Chak Jaman Shah from outside a shop. In the third incident, four thieves stole 10 trees from the land of Kashif Nazeer at Chak Mansoora. Police have registered separate cases and started investigation.
SIX HELD: Police have arrested six people with narcotics in different incidents here.
Police arrested Alam Sher of Chak 92-D with 20 litre wine, Mashooq Ali of Chak 92-D with 10 litre wine, Muneer Ahmad alias Munshi of Qaboola Town with 1,045 gram charas, Muneer Imran alias Sunni of Mohallah Karimpura with 1,000 gram charas, Bilal of Burewala Road with 565 gram charas and Haider at Bridge Peer Sultan with 350 gram charas. Police have registered separate cases and started investigation.
DIES ON ROAD: An old man was killed in an accident near Adda Haripur on Sahiwal Road.
Muhammad Mansha of Chak Adda Haripur was crossing a road when a speeding tractor-trolley crushed him to death. Police have registered a case.

PAKPATTAN: The city and adjoining areas received heavy rain.
The rain turned the weather pleasant, providing relief to the people from scorching heat. However, the rain turned the low-lying areas into rivulets. The rainwater also entered the houses in some areas.
