On the directive of National Highways and Motorway Police inspector general, the number of patrol ******rs and special squads has been increased in N-5 central Zone to ensure safe travel on Eidul Fitr. The ******rs also briefed the road users to make their journey safe. The DIG concerned personally supervised the campaign during which Iftar boxes and special road safety pamphlets and brochures printed for the purpose were distributed among the motorists at all movie points and toll plazas on the national highways. Flowers and gift hampers were also distributed among the road users to share the celebrations of Eid and strengthen public and police relationship. The DIG issued instructions to all the patrol staff to remain alert and respond within shortest possible time in case of any accident or breakdown. Special instructions were also issued to them to take strict action against overloading of passengers and overcharging. The road users have been requested to contacted Motorway Police personnel or NH&MP Helpline 130 for any complaint in this regard.
