WANA: A newly constructed state-of-the-art Sheikh Fatima Bint Mubarak Hospital began functioning here on Saturday. The 100-bed hospital cost $5 million and inaugurated the Shulam area of South Waziristan on June 18.
The army doctors examined the patients and provided free medicines to them at the facility. Laboratories equipped with modern tools have been established and latest X-ray machines installed in the premises.
Locals are happy with the provision of the facility at their doorstep. They said they would **t need to travel to settled areas for treatment after the establishment of the hospital in agency headquarters Wana.
