ISLAMABAD: The government on Friday issued a **tification for revision of basic pay scales and allowances of the federal government civil servants.
According to the **tification, three ad-hoc relief allowances including ad hoc relief allowance 2013 at the rate of 10 per cent of the basic pay on BPS 2011, ad hoc relief allowance 2014 at the rate of 10 per cent of the basic pay on BPS 2011, and ad hoc relief allowance 2015 at the rate of 7.5 per cent of the basic pay on BPS 2015 would be merged into the basic pays of the employees with effect from July 1, 2016. An ad hoc relief allowance 2016 at the rate of 10pc of the running basic pay of BPS 2016 to the civil employees of the federal government would also be allowed with effect from July 1, 2016 till further orders.
Meanwhile, the government also **tified grant of increase in pension to pensioners of the federal government.The president has been pleased to sanction an increase at the rate of 10pc of net pension with effect from July 1, 2016, to all civil pensioners of the federal government including civilians paid from defence estimates as well as retired armed forces personnel and civil armed forces personnel, the **tification added.
However, it said all civil pensioners of the federal government including civilians paid from defence estimates as well as retired armed forces personnel and civil armed forces personnel who are 85 years old or more shall be allowed 25pc instead of 10pc increase in their net pension with effect from July 1, 2016.
The government also **tified grant of MPhil allowance at Rs2,500 per month with effect from July 1, 2016. Similarly, the government also **tified to grant special conveyance allowance to disabled employees of federal government paid out of civil estimates and defence estimates at the rate of Rs1,000 per month in addition to **rmal conveyance allowance.
