Two killed in road accidents

PAKPATTAN: Two people were killed in road accidents on Friday.Muhammad Imam Raza, 24, was riding a motorcycle and was hit by a donkey cart near Meeran Shah area and died on the spot.Haq Nawaz and his wife were riding a motorcycle when a speeding car hit them, leaving his wife dead on the spot.
25 COPS GIVEN CERTIFICATES: Sahiwal Regional Police ******r (RPO) Tariq Rustam Chohan Friday gave certificates to 25 police officials in a ceremony. Addressing a prizes and certificates distribution ceremony, the RPO said it was the duty of policemen to perform duty honestly and combat crime.
The DPO Pakpattan and other ******rs were also present. Later, the RPO gave prizes and certificates to the police ******rs over their best performance.
DCO VISITS FRUIT MARKET: District Coordination ******r (DCO) Irfan Ahmad Sindhu visited fruit and vegetables market of the city.
The DCO instructed the relevant officials to ensure supply of fresh fruit and vegetables for shoppers at shops.
TWO FAKE CHEQUES: Police Friday booked two people on charges of issuing fake cheques. Accused Muhammad Usman and a**ther man had gotten Rs 1,500,000 loan from Javed Iqbal of Arifwala and gave him a cheque that bounced.Accused Chaudhry Tariq had taken a house on rent from Muhammad Imran and gave him a cheque that disho**ured. Police have registered cases.
EIGHT BOOKED: Police registered cases against eight people on charges of renting out houses illegally.Police booked Muhammad Sarwar, Mahar Yaseen, Ghulam Rasool, Afzal, Aslam, Imran, Ashraf and Saleem Ahmad.
LAWYERS STRIKE: Lawyers of District Bar Association, Pakpattan, and Tehsil Bar Association, Arifwala, observed a complete strike demanding **tification of Lahore High Court Sahiwal Bench. ** lawyer appeared in any court.
