Born on the 1st of July 1952 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Was born with syndactyly (webbed toes) and heterochromia (blue right eye, brown left eye).
Studied crimi**logy and sociology at Carleton University, but dropped out before finishing his degree.
Gained fame as one of the original cast members - referred to as “The **t Ready For Prime Time Players” - on Saturday Night Live (1975 - 1979), and then for starring in Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters II (1989); is set to make a cameo appearance in the 2016 all-female Ghostbusters reboot.
Was **minated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for Driving Miss Daisy (1989).
Was a close friend of John Belushi, with whom he developed the popular Blues Brothers act.
Has been married to actress Donna Dixon since 1983. They have three daughters.

Has received negative reviews, with critics finding it slow, formulaic, and derivative.
Director Uwe Boll was interested in the project but was turned down by Blizzard. Sam Raimi was initially set to direct the film, but was replaced by Duncan Jones.
