The rupee ended down by 10 paisas against the dollar on the last day of fiscal year 2015/16, owing to higher demand of the foreign currency for import payments during long holidays.
The rupee closed at 104.83 to the dollar from previous day's 104.73 in interbank foreign exchange market. The interbank started at 104.71 and 104.74. In the open market, the dollar buying and selling was recorded at 104.85/105.05.
