Amazon's virtual assistant Alexa (http://mashable.com/2016/05/28/amazon-alexa-browser/?utm_campaign=Mash-Prod-RSS-Feedburner-All-Partial&utm_cid=Mash-Prod-RSS-Feedburner-All-Partial) is pretty good at answering most questions. But if you ask her if the NSA is monitoring you right **w? She turns herself off.

The NSA is **torious for tapping into various modes of communication,*but whether the agency is actually listening to your Alexa queries is pretty questionable. **netheless, Alexa isn't taking any chances.

It's probably just a joke programmed in by Amazon, but it may also be a sly warning to be careful about what you say around your Echo or Dot.*
