QUETTA: At least four Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were martyred in Quetta when unk**wn gunmen opened fire on their vehicle.
Two constables also sustained injuries in the firing at Double Road on Wednesday after**on.
According to the rescue sources, FC’s personnel were on routine patrolling at the city’s Double road when unidentified gunmen targeted them.
The attackers targeted a paramilitary patrol vehicle in Quetta and fled after the shooting, authorities said.
"Four paramilitary soldiers were martyred and two other soldiers and a civilian were wounded in the firing by unk**wn gunmen on motorcycle," Frontier Corps spokesman Khan Wasay told AFP.
Home Secretary for the Balochistan Akbar Harifal confirmed the incident.
On Tuesday four policemen were killed in two separate attacks in Quetta.
