Jamie Lynn Spears is using 2016 to reintroduce herself, beginning with her confident new single, "Sleepover."*
The cheery, cheeky country song — her first release since 2014's EP*The Journey — finds*the 25-year-old in a decidedly different, more carefree place than she was in her previous work, and Spears tells Mashable that's exactly the point.*
"It's all kind of the theme of what I'm doing. I'm trying to embrace that side of myself," she said. "I'm trying to embrace that fun, young side of myself."*
