An outspoken Lebanese broadcaster was deported from Egypt on Monday hours after the cancellation of her programme on one of the last prominent outlets for dissent on Egyptian television, according to media reports.
Sources at the Cairo airport said Liliane Daoud was escorted to the terminal by security ******rs without any luggage.
Daoud had been arrested at home hours after her contract with television channel OnTV was terminated, local news site Mada Masr reported quoting her lawyer Zyad Elelaimy.
