Store owner shot dead

TOBA TEK SINGH: Two unidentified motorcyclists shot dead a store owner in Islampura on Saturday. Zafar Hussain was at his shop when he was attacked and sustained bullet injuries and was shifted to DHQ Hospital where he died.
ACTION AGAINST TEACHERS: DCO Amir Ijaz Akbar Saturday asked the EDO (education) to take action against heads and teachers of schools whose performance is poor.
Addressing the district education review committee meeting, the DCO expressed his displeasure over the district’s lowering ranking in the Punjab Chief Minister’s education roadmap in terms of attendance of students in pre-primary (katchi) classes in government schools. District Monitoring ******r Kashif Nawaz and DEO Amin Bhatti were also present.
CASH, VALUABLES SNATCHED: Robbers Saturday took away cash and valuables.
Bandits barged into the house of Waqar Amjad in Housing Colony 1 in broad daylight and took away Rs 110,000, two mobile phones and other valuables. Robbers intercepted salesman Sohaib Ahmad, salesman of a mobile company, near Chak 153/GB in Rajana police station area and took away Rs 68,000, a mobile phone and hundreds of company SIM cards.
