KARACHI: An unk**wn caller from Afghanistan had threatened to take his own course if death penalties handed down to convicts in Safoora Goth case were **t overturned, days before mysterious disappearance of Owais Ali Shah, a son of Sindh High Court Chief Justice, Geo News reported on late Tuesday night, citing official sources.

The phone call was made from an Afghan mobile phone number to Karachi, Geo News said, without giving details about the receiver of the call.

Security agencies are said to have started to follow the latest lead. The son of Justice Sajjad Ali Shah was kidnapped by unk**wn persons in Karachi on Monday and the law enforcement agencies seem to be clueless about his whereabouts.

Senior police officials told media the victim was probably kidnapped for ransom.

A military court had sentenced five men to death for carrying out massacre in a bus carrying members of Ismaili community last year killing over 40 people.

Army Chief General Raheel Sharif confirmed the death sentence of five terrorists last month.
