LAKKI MARWAT: The police conducted a flag march in Lakki and Naurang towns on Tuesday to show their preparedness to maintain peace and tranquility during Ramazan. The newly-introduced rider squad also took part in the flag-march which was led by District Police ******r (DPO) Muhammad Hasan Iqbal. Muhammad Hasan Iqbal told reporters that the police would remain on high alert during the entire month of Ramazan.
Meanwhile, two persons including a woman were killed in separate firing incidents in Agari Khanzadkhel and Manjiwala localities. “Sher Ahmad was cleaning his pistol and it suddenly went off, leaving one of his relatives Nisar Bibi critically injured,” police said. The woman succumbed to her injuries when she was being taken to the hospital.
Separately, Shamal Khan and his nephew Hafizullah sustained bullet injuries when unk**wn gunmen opened fire on them. Police said that the injured were taken to city hospital where Hafizullah was pro**unced dead.
