QUETTA: An accountability court has imposed charge sheet against former chairman Public Service Commission Balochistan Muhammad Ashraf Magsi and two ex-directors of the Commission for minting money through illegal recruitments against posts of Grade-17 and above and irregularities.
The NAB Balochistan team produced Ashraf Magsi and two ex-directors of PSC Balochistan including Wahid-ur-Rehman and Niaz Kakar before the accountability court.The judge Abdul Majeed Nasar while hearing the case indicted the three accused including Magsi.
The accused however denied the allegations levelled against them and submitted that they were **t guilty of corruption.The NAB Balochistan had arrested Ashraf Magsi and other accused in May 2016 and got their judicial remand.
After completion of the remand, they were brought before the court which imposed charge framework against them.Balochistan Gover**r Muhammad Khan Achakzai had sacked Ashraf Magsi from the post of chairman Public Service Commission after an inquiry found him involved in illegal recruitment and irregularities in the Commission.
There were also allegations against Magsi for recruiting his two daughters against the post of Grade-17 in education department of Balochistan while they had fake degrees.He was also accused of recruiting his close relative against a post of Grade-17. Later after the inquiry his two daughters were terminated.
The three accused including Magsi and the two directors of the Commission were alleged by the NAB Balochistan that they minted huge money by illegal recruitment of candidates against lucrative posts in government departments.
They were also blamed for irregularities in the PSC Balochistan. The NAB team had arrested them in May following the mega corruption case lodged against suspended finance secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Raisani.
