Jailbreak prisoner arrested in DI Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The police on Sunday arrested an accused who had escaped during jailbreak of 2013, police officials said.They said Mehboob had fled during the Dera Ismail Khan jailbreak in 2013 and efforts were on for his arrest since then. They said the police launched search operation against the outlaws in the limits of Cantonment Police Station and arrested Mehboob and other proclaimed offenders identified as Rehmatullah and Akhtar.



Hot weather hits Balochistan

QUETTA: The Met ****** recorded the maximum highest temperature of 51 Centigrade in Sibi and Turbat on Saturday.The Met ****** said the recent heatwave would continue hitting the region, including Quetta, for the next 36 hours. It said that very hot weather would continue in southeast Balochistan and Quetta for the next 24 to 36 hours. The Met ****** recorded maximum highest temperature in cities including 51C in Turbat, 37C in Quetta, 44C in Lasbela, 51C in Sibi. 42C in Panjgur, 41C in Loralai, 40C in Zhob and 30C in Ziarat.



Senate clarifies report

ISLAMABAD: A news item appearing in the national print media on Saturday with reference to the Chairman Senate of Pakistan, **t presiding over the Senate session while a motion for the Parliamentary Committee on TORs was moved in the Senate on Friday is, by and large, correct. But, the headlines suggesting that the Chairman Senate ‘walked out’ is incorrect. A presiding ******r can refuse to preside over the House, as was the instant case, but never walks out in protest or otherwise, says a statement issued by the Senate Secretariat. 'It will be appreciated if the correction is published in your newspaper', the statement concludes.
