Airbus has filed a patent for the world's fastest helicopter

Airbus has filed a patent (http://www.google.com/patents/US9321526) for the world's fastest helicopter.
The hybrid aircraft is an advanced version of the Airbus' Eurocopter X3, which is currently under development and set an u**fficial record in 2013 (http://www.airbushelicopters.com/website/en/press/Eurocopter's-X3-hybrid-helicopter-makes-aviation-history-in-achieving-a-speed-milestone-of-255-k**ts-during-level-flight_1159.html) for the world's fastest helicopter, attaining a top speed of 263 k**ts — or about 303 miles per hour — in a descent.*
That's still much slower than a commercial jet, but for a helicopter, it's greased lightning.
