May agree to stop trading allegations, exercise caution
ISLAMABAD: Apparently, it was a coincidence that Information and Broadcasting Minister Senator Pervaiz Rashid and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Information Secretary Naeemul Haq were both present at Bhera on the Motorway at the same time on Friday.
Needless to say, the ruling PML-N and PTI are the top political rivals at present and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Imran are resorting to massive verbal attacks on each other almost daily ever since the Panama Leaks saga unfolded.
The minister warmly shook hands with the PTI spokesman and took him to his vehicle, where they exchanged views on the latest political situation for about 15 minutes and then left for their respective destinations. It is speculated that the two rival sides discussed the possibility and means to stop trading allegations, showing restraint and check the ongoing hostilities. The sudden and unexpected meeting between the two may or may **t bring down the political temperature and the war of words between the two, it is expected to remain the focus of the media for some time.Naeem confirmed the meeting in tweets and said that he would be briefing Imran on it within hours.
